Call for Workshop Proposals

 

This is a call for proposals for workshops which will be held in conjunction with IEEE International Symposium on Multimedia (ISM2007). Workshops will focus on some specific topics of the main symposium. The organizer(s) of approved workshops will be responsible for advertising their workshops and the paper review process.

The following workshop proposals have now been accepted:

W2ME: Workshop on Web 2.0 and Multimedia-enabled Education, http://W2ME2007.ncu.edu.tw.

MIPR07: Workshop on Multimedia Information Processing and Retrieval, http://www.cs.fiu.edu/mipr07/.

MTEL: Workshop on Multimedia Technologies for E-Learning, http://www.math.tu-berlin.de/~knipping/ieee/ism07-mtel.

SVCT: Workshop on Scalable Video Coding & Transport, http://svct2007.nctu.edu.tw/.

CMMIDMH: Workshop on New Techniques for Consuming, Managing, and Manipulating Interactive Digital Media at Home, http://homepages.cwi.nl/~garcia/ism2007_workshop/.

MASP: Workshop on Multimedia Audio and Speech Processing: advancing the state-of-the-art, http://speechlab.ifsc.usp.br/ism2007/.

Workshop proposals must include:

  1. The name of the workshop, a statement of goals, and a list of topics for the workshop.
  2. The affiliation of the organizer(s).
  3. The names of potential program committee members.
  4. The expected number of papers to be accepted.

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit workshop proposals to both Workshop co-chairs, Dr. Qing Li (itqli@cityu.edu.hk) and Dr. Mei-Ling Shyu (shyu@miami.edu), no later than April 1, 2007 . Submission should be made by e-mail (PDF or ASCII) with "ISM2007 Workshop Submission" in the subject header. Notification of acceptance will be made by April 20, 2007.
